The Project

This project saw ISG modernise, refurbish and expand the net lettable space so that the customer could present what was, in effect, a brand new building to the market. This substantial facelift of the building, constructed in the early 1980s, also improved energy efficiency and whole-life costs.

The fast-track programme included a complete strip out of the 10-storey building and a fit out to Cat A. At ground floor level, retail units were provided to shell. The main entrance was completely remodelled to include an enlarged ground floor reception area.

The external façade was modified, with window mullions removed to open up the façade and let in more light, and new glazing installed on the whole building. Due to the building’s unusual ‘wedge’ shape the corner glass was toughened and curved.
