Introduction
Following the successful fit out of the 180,000 sq ft Walbrook building in Cannon Street, ISG was awarded subsequent work for the developer Minerva as well as the Cat B fit out of two floors for their first tenant, AJ Gallagher.
The Project
The project comprised Cat A works to the ground and seventh floor along with the construction of new shower facilities in the building’s basement in preparation for the Cat B works. The fit out incorporated a new raised floor, system partitioning, main and satellite equipment rooms, information technology and audio visual systems, roof works and furniture, kitchen facilities for high class dining and numerous tea points dispersed throughout the floors.
The seventh floor comprises workplace areas with executive meeting and dining facilities while the ground floor features a stunning reception and meeting room suite. The ‘Oculus’ was the standout feature of the space, which was an elliptical shape formed from an intricate construction of raking steelwork and glass. The team also installed an automated ‘Skyfold’ to enable the area to be reconfigured to suit AJ Gallagher’s day-to-day requirements.
