ISG collaboration & best practice recognised in multiple areas by NWCH
We are delighted that ISG and our people have been recognised in the first ever North West Construction Hub (NWCH) virtual event.
Those that were selected have epitomised the NWCH ethos of betterment, knowledge share, best practice, innovation and collaboration.
ISG collected Social Value Contribution of the Year for the Manchester City Council SEMH Schools programme. We successfully delivered three social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) schools for Manchester City Council back in summer 2021. The schools – Southern Cross, Camberwell Park and Castlefield Campus, provide highly inclusive learning environments for students of different ages with diverse special educational needs. The quality and attention to detail in design and delivery will enable these students to gain vital skills and reach their full academic potential. The schools programme delivered some £12.7m of social, local and economic benefit and has been named as a finalist in the “Community Project of the Year 2022” of the 2022 Construction News Awards.
The Special Recognition award went to Joy Woods, Senior Value & Sustainability Manager at ISG. The Social Value special interest group or 'SIG' that Joy also chairs, was recognised as SIG of the Year.
It’s great for the Social Value SIG to receive recognition for all their hard work, the group members are so committed and passionate about creating impact through collaboration. I find it extremely rewarding to work alongside NWCH and contractor partner colleagues to enhance the value that the framework delivers, bringing benefits to clients and communities.
Joy Woods, Senior Value & Sustainability Manager, ISG
I am touched and honoured to be recognised in this way by the NWCH. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the NWCH team over the years and fellow contractor partners, and still firmly believe in the NWCH as a shining example of a ‘gold standard’ framework – providing a platform for collaboration, innovation and better outcomes in the construction industry in the north west region.
Neil Walker, Framework Director, ISG
A massive congratulations to our winners and everyone who supports ISG’s activities on the framework.
