Meet the panellists
Colin Hamilton, Sector Director – Health, ISG (Chair)
Colin has 35 years’ experience, working in operational environments, investments and account management. He has worked across a number of sectors, predominantly in healthcare, driving improvements for better patient outcomes. Since 2019 he has been contributing to central NHS teams to support emergency projects and development of areas such as training, reducing climate change, social value and modern methods of construction.
David Salmond, Director Major Programmes and Projects, Defence Infrastructure Organisation
David is responsible for the delivery of capital infrastructure projects on the Defence Estate, delivering a vast array of projects from hangars and runways, jetties and maritime engineering, technical, operational and logistics, living accommodation and sports facilities. His customer base covers both UK and US Visiting Forces.
Helen Sturdy, Head of ProCure23 Framework and Construction Lead, NHS England
As a highly experienced Estates and Facilities healthcare professional with over 30 years’ experience, Helen has been involved in ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and sustainable environments as part of a senior leadership team. Working in muti-disciplinary roles has allowed her to view the challenges faced from different perspectives.
James Foley, Commercial Director, Alliance Leisure
Alliance Leisure is positioned to innovatively meet the changing development needs of the public sector, education and leisure trust market. James has over 20 years of senior management experience in the leisure industry and has directly led the delivery and launch of over £150 million new leisure projects.
Miriam Ozanne, Regional Director, AECOM
Miriam leads AECOM’s High Performance Building Team helping clients to define and deliver operational outcomes for their projects as well as optimising building performance once in use. She delivers holistic solutions that contribute to true building performance with a strong focus on energy performance, decarbonisation and health & wellbeing.
Neal O’Leary, Programme Director, Welsh Government
Neal has a BSc (Hons) in building surveying and is the programme director for the Welsh Government's £3.8bn Sustainable Communities for Learning Programme. Prior to returning to education infrastructure, Neal spent eleven years heading up Cadw’s 'Properties in Care', leading conservation, capital development, FM and asset management.
Ross Wood, Group Head of Sustainability, ISG
Ross leads on ISG’s approach to carbon reduction and management. From environmental assessments and minimising the impact of construction processes, Ross provides the necessary support to teams across the business, ensuring seamless delivery and added value.
