New era of coworking to unfold at The Great Room Afro Asia

ISG in Singapore has been appointed to fit out The Great Room's up-and-coming location at Afro-Asia i-Mark, the newly completed 18-storey Grade A office development at the heart of Singapore's central business district. Occupying 37,000 sq ft across three floors, The Great Room, Afro Asia will be the company's largest coworking location in Singapore to date.

ISG will provide high quality full fit out works including installation of a custom-built internal staircase connecting level six, seven and eight, interior finishes, slab demolition, custom joinery and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) works.

With seven locations in Asia, The Great Room is recognised as one of the best coworking space operators in the region, famed for its unique hospitality-inspired design ahead of hotel and office trends. The Great Room, Afro Asia is centrally located within the financial district alongside the prominent junction of Robinson Road and McCallum Street, strongholds of Singapore's thriving business and financial sectors.

A much-awaited green sanctuary

A treetop sanctuary amidst the business district, The Great Room, Afro Asia is housed in an ecological building that features the latest green technologies from Japan and boasts a roof-top garden and terrace with stunning views of Singapore's urban skyline.

In recognition of its sustainability features, the brand-new Afro Asia i-Mark Building has been awarded the Green Mark Platinum and LEED Platinum ratings.

Adding to these green credentials is the adoption of a unique chilled beam system in the ceilings on all three levels, which will use water to transport energy to cool down the occupied zone. Unlike conventional systems that uses all-air supply for fresh air and cooling purposes, this unique chilled beam system consumes less energy and requires less space when using water for cooling and heating purposes - providing an energy efficient solution for the sustainable construction of offices around the world.

Members of The Great Room, Afro Asia stand to benefit too from the marked decrease in noise, draft conditions, and temperature inconsistencies.
