SEWSCAP3
This is third iteration of the South East & Mid Wales collaborative construction framework (SEWSCAP) and under this framework, ISG has been selected to bid for projects in the South East and mid-Wales areas, across the three highest lots, with a value between £10 million and £100 million.
ISG has delivered projects in education, residential, leisure and office sectors through the SEWSCAP framework. Examples of our work include our new build, award-winning STEAM Academy for Bridgend College, and South Point Primary School, for the Vale of Glamorgan. Whilst the team are currently on site at new joint education scheme, Fairwater Campus, and a first with SEWSCAP3 a healthcare offering with the School of Healthcare Sciences for Cardiff University.
The framework draws upon years of shared learning between buyers and contractors, cultivating long term relationships in an environment of transparent mutual trust and co-operation. Aligned with ISG's values, we believe in leaving a lasting legacy in the communities in which we work, with our employees hold upwards of 350+ hours of school engagement sessions, creating 61 jobs across our projects and and procuring our materials locally, with 72.4% of our spend based in Wales.
Framework strengths

- Compliant with EU Procurement Directives and the Public Contract Regulations 2015, as well as the Wales Procurement Policy Statement, the SEWSCAP framework offers a swift route to market and opportunities for early contractor involvement, with a specific focus on attracting contractors of all sizes.
- SEWSCAP3 draws together the expertise of pre-qualified, experienced small, medium, and large contractors to provide various school / public buildings construction works, as well as modular and demountable solutions, between the values of over £250k to £100m.
- The framework is open to 13 local authorities, higher education bodies, further education colleges, health boards and housing associations in South East & Mid Wales
- The ISG delivered, STEAM Academy project, for Bridgend College, is an award-winning scheme having won the ‘Inspiring Learning Spaces’ Award at the Education Buildings Wales Awards 2023
- Ysgol Gymraeg Bro Morgannwg is also an award winning scheme having secured a Leading Light Award at the first ever Considerate Constructors Scheme awards event
