Overview
This sleek hotel has been created, not only for for the international business community flying to and from TAG London Farnborough Airport, but also for the many hi-tech, defence and aerospace companies located in the vicinity.
The Aviator was designed by Hamilton Associates and award-winning interior designer, Amanda Rosa to resemble an aeroplane’s propeller. It features a complex curvilinear metal roof structure with a curved central atrium and glass aluminium cladding to the façade.
ISG was responsible for the base build and the internal fit out through to full fixtures and furniture. The remit also included the external works such as paving for the car park to north of the building, access road, drop off point and landscaping to garden area.
The Aviator Hotel
The Aviator was constructed on a brownfield site formerly occupied by the RAF Farnborough officers buildings. The four-storey hotel houses over 150 bedrooms including 19 sky studio suites. Other facilities include a 100-seat Brasserie restaurant as well as a deli and two bars with views of the nearby runway. The hotel’s seven meeting rooms provide businesses with modern and convenient conferencing facilities.
