Introduction
ISG fitted out an award-winning office for K&L Gates, a global law firm based in 38 countries.
The fit out project at One New Change in London, won the Best Fit Out of Workplace at the National British Council for Offices (BCO) Awards 2012.
The project
ISG paid careful attention to logistics throughout the fit out. With other fit outs taking place in the building at the same time, we needed to share access to the building.
ISG provided a bespoke office for K&L Gates across 160,000 sq ft on two separate floors. The fit out included installing 130 offices, training and meeting rooms, and a new cafeteria which catered for up to 100 people.
Before construction began, a mock-up of the full office bay was constructed to review all aspects of the design, including ceiling, lighting, finishes and furniture, from both a construction and functional point of view.
The stone finishes throughout the office was the standout feature in this award-winning work. New feature walls, expansive floors and a staircase was constructed using Italian stone.
Sustainability
The project achieved a BREEAM Very Good assessment and was one of the first certified fit outs to be completed in the building post-construction.
