Introduction
Ferrero, the third largest chocolate producer in the world, is headquartered in Italy with around 140 employees operating in the UK. We facilitated the chocolate giant’s UK office move from Watford to Ealing.
The key challenges were redesigning the premises, previously occupied by GlaxoSmithKline, and relocating around 140 employees without disrupting business operations.
The project
The old GSK premises needed a major overhaul to bring it up to standard as a first-class UK headquarters.
Internally, wall partitions were modified to create a fit for purpose office space. A gym was installed, complete with changing rooms and showers, and new kitchen facilities and tea points were added.
New server rooms and plant works were created, including audio visual equipment, security and fire alarms, variable air volume controls, lighting and automatic blind controls.
Externally, work was carried out on the exterior glazed thermal flue, with new motors installed to operate the doors. Glazing fittings were replaced and the timber brise soleil was refurbished. The external facade was also updated and an impressive revolving door was fitted in the main entrance.
