ISG celebrates 30 years in Germany and looks to the future with a new managing director

Summer 2022 marks the beginning of our fourth decade in the German market and leading our business operations in Germany, Luxembourg and Switzerland, Martyn Peters has been announced as new CEE Managing Director, reporting directly to COO Zoe Price. With new leadership, ISG continues to steadily
increase its focus on delivering outstanding workspaces for international clients. 

Joining ISG in 2007, Martyn Peters has held various positions at our London headquarters, most recently as Board Member and Group Commercial Director, where he worked on numerous large projects for global companies such as UBS and Google. Prior to joining ISG, he worked for various UK construction companies including Pearce Construction and Wates Group.

Martyn comments: "ISG has always been a company that places great emphasis on working with clients who share our values. We continue to be very successful with this approach, particularly with our large international clients. I look forward to contributing to the further development of ISG and consolidating our market position in Germany, Luxembourg and Switzerland."  

Zoe adds: "Germany, Luxembourg and Switzerland are important target markets for our clients. Germany is now considered the second most important market across the group after our home market, the UK, and we continue to see great growth potential here. I am confident that Martyn is the right fit to strengthen ISG's evolved position and continue to deliver first class projects."

We are also celebrating our 30th anniversary in Germany this year. In 1992, ISG launched its German fit out operations as a global constructor. Striving to meet the same quality and level of success it has become known for in the UK, it looked to expand its reach to an international audience. Thirty years later, we are now returning to our roots and providing these great international brands with the best solutions for fit out, including refurbishment and design & build, in Germany, Switzerland, and Luxembourg.

Under the motto "Building something special together", employees from Germany, Luxembourg and Switzerland came together for a summer and anniversary party on Wednesday 6 July 2022. The celebration took place on board the "Freigut" boat in the heart of Frankfurt. After reception drinks, the event officially launched with senior leadership taking the floor. Matt Blowers, CEO, welcomed everyone and highlighted the great strides the CEE business has made over the last 30 years. Then Martyn Peters spoke, thanking all the employees who have contributed to our success story and reviewing CEE’s most important milestones with an outlook on upcoming great projects and a promising future. Michael Schöneich, Commercial Director in CEE, followed – telling the story of the CEE business’s beginnings up to today. As Michael has been with ISG for more than 25 years – there is really no one better suited than him to point out how our founding roots have continued to anchor the concept of our business today as we navigate towards the future. His anecdotes described how the team has successfully mastered every challenge met so far with team spirit, good cooperation and diverse talent. The BBQ party was an opportunity to look back and celebrate our successes to date as well as look forward to the next 30 years!
