Another project delivered through the NWCH medium value framework. ISG upgraded 10 schools in 24 months as part of a £36 million EBN schools programme for Manchester City Council, which completed in September 2018.

ISG has been awarded places on two lots of the third generation North West Construction Hub (NWCH) high value framework.

Covering public sector projects across the North West of England valued between £8-15 million and £15-35 million, Lots 1 and 2 encompass a broad geographical area – including Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire, Lancashire and Cumbria.

This is the first time ISG has been awarded a place on the high-value framework, having delivered 85 projects worth circa £250 million through the medium value framework since its launch in 2010.

ISG framework director, Neil Walker, commented: “We are delighted to see both a continuation and expansion of our partnership with NWCH.

“The significance of the North West Construction Hub in delivering the vital infrastructure that supports our communities cannot be underestimated."

Neil continued: “As a forum for sharing best practice and innovation, fostering strong collaboration and focusing on driving efficiencies throughout the build process, this framework is a stand-out performer and an exemplar of how public/private partnerships generate real value and deliver much-needed facilities in the shortest possible timeframe.”

Promoting collaboration and driving continuous improvement, the NWCH has been instrumental in supporting local supply chain employment and delivering a positive legacy of community apprentice and workplace opportunities.

Since its establishment, the NWCH has delivered in the region of 300 projects for around 80 clients, covering a construction value of more than £1.5 billion.
