Introduction
Regus is a worldwide provider of flexible workspace solutions and part of the IWG Group (International Workplace Group). Their product offerings include office spaces, meeting rooms, business lounges, co-working and virtual offices. The company has a global network of 3,000 business centers in more than 1,000 cities across more than 100 countries to enable people and businesses to work where they want, when they want and how they want. The company was founded in Brussels, Belgium, in 1989. Regus is listed on the London Stock Exchange.
ISG completed the first Design & Build project for Regus in Hamburg, Germany. With the newly-installed co-working space, ISG has created an optimal working environment that promotes productivity and enables creative exchange with others.
The project
Comprising of 230 workstations, the new Regus office is located above the Mercado shopping centre in the culturally diverse Altona district of Hamburg. On an area of 2,050 sqm, ISG planned and executed open, bright offices and co-working areas on three floors and a reception area on the ground floor.
To guarantee a turnkey handover within a construction period of four months, ISG provided the planning team and coordinated the customer’s service providers.
The construction work was adapted to the special conditions on site and relocated outside office hours. This enabled ISG to avoid construction noise during the opening hours of the shopping centre and to meet the specific requirements for cleanliness and safety.
"We would like to express our sincere thanks for the professional implementation of the project as well as the pleasant and reliable cooperation and look forward to further joint projects in the near future”
Daniel C. Grimm, Development Director of Regus
Added Value
With the successful realisation of numerous office projects, ISG has gained the trust of the IWG Group, resulting in a Europe-wide framework agreement.
Martin Wendsche, Managing Director CEE, comments: “Due to the growing demand for high-quality space and shorter rental periods, we see considerable potential in the flexible office space segment throughout Germany. With our own planning and architecture department as well as with our global partner network, we are ideally equipped for this market development”.
