ISG, a specialist in providing construction management services for fit out and refurbishment commercial real estate projects, has appointed a new head for the Central and Eastern Europe business (CEE). As of 1st April, Daniel Ngai-Kocher, ISG Managing Director of Switzerland, will also lead Germany and Luxembourg in the CEE business. He succeeds Martyn Peters, whose departure was mutually agreed, enabling him to embark upon new professional challenges. An architect by training, Daniel Ngai-Kocher’s 30-year international career has spanned Asia, North America, and Europe. Joining ISG in 2014, he has headed the Swiss business since 2017, realising large-scale projects for global corporates.  Work in progress for 2024 remains strong across all cities, with ISG expecting a 120% increase in this year’s sales compared to the previous year. The office sector projects in the current project pipeline are anticipated to exceed 415 million euro by 2027. Clients include international corporations from technology, finance, real estate, and pharmaceutical sectors.

"We are benefiting from the back-to-the-office trend, which is gaining ground among our internationally active clients. As this is fuelling the need for high-quality new office space, we expect turnover to grow in the coming years."

In addition to established international corporate clients, ISG is looking to expand to address asset managers and investors from the region. Ngai-Kocher adds: "One of our principles aims is to support owners and asset managers on their way to achieve portfolios that fully correspond to ESG regulations. To meet this goal, we offer specialised services ranging from needs assessment to refurbishment and monitoring."

The expanded management team includes Michael Schöneich, who has been with ISG since 1999, as Director Pre-Construction, Stephen Martin as Regional Director of Operations, former Apple manager Harry Tettinger as Operations Director for Germany and Luxembourg, Jonathan Hourihan as Divisional Commercial Director, and Mathias Englert as Finance Director. The Germany and Luxembourg branch offices are managed by Andrew Zacharias (Frankfurt and Luxembourg), Sara Purvis (Berlin), who joined ISG from The Office Group (TOG), and Lars Schmitt (Munich). In Switzerland, Peter Hodgins and Valerio Giancaspro lead the team with offices in Zurich and Geneva.

Daniel Ngai-Kocher emphasises: "The new management team brings international experience with an excellent knowledge of individual markets and a broad network in their respective locations. This combination offers the best foundation for continuing the course of growth envisaged for 2024 in the coming years."
