ISG attains ISO certifications in quality management and occupational health and safety
As a global construction specialist, ISG places strong emphasis on quality, thus "We are especially pleased to be able to verify this now with the official certificates," says Florian Dingler, Head of Quality Management at ISG.
ISO 9001 is a standard for quality management systems. It is the most widely used standard in this area of specifying the minimum requirements for a quality management system (QMS). Implementing these standards means the customers’ requirements and additional stipulations for your product or service quality have been met.
"Certification indicates that ISG's customers can rely on the quality of the work and processes," Dingler continues, "Furthermore, certification is an effective tool for controlling and continuously improving quality processes. Hence, certified companies have decisive advantages when it comes to winning new customers and bids."
Alongside ISO 9001, ISG has also attained the ISO 45001 certification in recognition of occupational health and safety. It specifies the requirements for an occupational safety management system (ASMS) and issues guidelines for implementation. This enables companies to create safe and healthy workplaces by preventing work-related injuries and illnesses and proactively improving their occupational health and safety performance. "The objective of ISO 45001 is the health and well-being of employees," says ISG Quality Manager Dingler. One aims of the standard is to ensure all statutory regulations and other requirements are met and another is to continuously improve occupational health and safety within an organisation.
