Michael Schöneich, Director Pre-Construction

Michael Schöneich is Director Pre-Construction for ISG in Central and Eastern Europe and is based in Frankfurt. He has almost 20 years’ service with the business, joining in 1999.

Michael started his career as financial manager at Interior Construction in Frankfurt, and was later commercial director at Interior Alpha. This company was fully merged into ISG, and rebranded as part of ISG.

Michael is responsible for overseeing corporate fit out and retail projects in Germany, Austria, Luxembourg and Switzerland. While working with major US and UK clients, he has set up project teams and co-ordinated the accurate handover from estimation to execution, including risk analysis, procurement strategy and establishing commercial targets.

From 2009 to 2015, Michael was ISG’s country manager in Germany, assigned to the business’s commercial, financial and operational management. Michael also focused on client management, project delivery, business development (national and international) and HR (recruiting, training and developing).

Taking on the role of head of the DACH region in 2015, Michael enabled and ensured the delivery of high-quality fit out projects in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Luxembourg for international clients; he also implemented best practice. In 2017, Michael became operations director for Central and Eastern Europe. In this role, he focused on winning work and implementing best operational practice across different European countries.

In 2018, Michael transitioned to the position of Commercial Director. In 2023, he assumed the role of Director of Pre-Construction, where he now oversees the coordination of the win work department in Central and Eastern Europe.
