Introduction
ISG has successfully completed a state-of-the-art workspace project for Roland Berger, the esteemed global consultancy firm. This project reflects a vision for modern workplaces that prioritize purpose, people, and sustainability.
The project
In a remarkable feat, ISG delivered a workspace solution that embodies agility, connectivity, and ergonomic design. The team undertook highly customised fit-out works for Roland Berger's new office at 6 Falak by Sweid & Sweid building in Dubai Internet City. The project encompassed the full fit-out of two floors from shell and core, featuring bespoke elements such as slab openings with steel staircases, organic timber finishes, and avant-garde AV and IT infrastructure. The space also boasts collaborative areas, meeting rooms, and hot desks for enhanced user experience.
"Effective communication and a shared commitment to achieving LEED Gold accreditation have been pivotal to our project's success. The ISG team’s exceptional approach was evident throughout the project."
David Fell, Director of Construction, Sweid & Sweid.
Inclusive Work Environment
Spanning over 25,000 square feet, the space integrates office areas with dining facilities, kitchens, lounging spots, breakout rooms, and a multifunctional town hall. The open-plan setup with dedicated workstations fosters a collaborative and relaxed work atmosphere while accommodating internal and external events seamlessly.
State-of-the-Art Technology
The boardroom and meeting spaces are equipped with cutting-edge smart TV and interactive board systems, enhancing virtual and hybrid interactions among colleagues. These advanced features streamline both online and offline collaborations during meetings.
Focus on Sustainability
Aligned with the client's vision, sustainability principles were at the core of the project. Working towards achieving LEED Gold Rating certification, ISG collaborated on energy efficiency, daylight models, waste management strategies, and sustainability benchmarks. The incorporation of sustainable practices underscores the commitment to environmental responsibility.Distinctive Elements and Design Features
Noteworthy features of the project include a striking structural steel staircase connecting the two floors, adding a touch of elegance to the space. The design team curated an open layout with stylish design elements, ensuring connectivity while balancing functionality and aesthetics. A sophisticated color scheme, integrated lighting solutions, and acoustic considerations further enhance the overall design appeal.
Overcoming Challenges and Achieving Milestones
Despite challenges such as a remote client team and coordination with multiple stakeholders, ISG successfully completed the project within a 40-week timeframe. Through proactive collaboration and a solution-oriented approach, the workspace was delivered to meet the client's expectations and stringent specifications. The project also marked a significant milestone with the Sweid & Sweid building achieving 1 Million Man-safe hours, showcasing ISG's commitment to safety and excellence throughout the construction process.“The successful completion of our project for Roland Berger showcases our Right thing first business strategy. Delivered on time with superb quality and excellent feedback—NPS of 10 and an 89% CX score—this project highlights what our focus on customer experience, employee engagement, environmental, social, and governance delivers. Sweid & Sweid's experience, attitude towards time, and collaboration were refreshing and instrumental in achieving high performance as a team, which we hope to springboard from.”
