Introduction
Appointed by Nestlé to revamp their headquarters, ISG was tasked with designing and refurbishing their existing floor and extending their space by half a floor on a different level. As a result, Nestlé’s office now amasses 7,000 sq m of office space in Dubai’s World Central Headquarters.
The project
The project was delivered in a live environment and divided into three sections, which were delivered in three phases. It was challenging, not only because it was a live office environment, but also because ISG was responsible for the move management of 500 staff, their furniture, and belongings. Works had to be completed with minimal impact on the staff.
With a huge floor plate of 4,800 sq m, the design concept was to open up the existing office floor plan. The smaller closed offices were abolished and were replaced with communal break out areas on the outside. Brighter individual offices were placed in the centre of the floor span. Glass was used as much as possible to provide natural light into all spaces and a clean design mixed with theme colours was used to achieve a vibrant working environment.
